The University of Costa Rica (UCR) and the Autonomous University of Mexico City (UACM) convened the First International Congress on Cultural Heritage, to be held at the premises of the University of Costa Rica on 6, 7 and 8 December 2010, which will bring together specialists who deal with the perspectives and theoretical and methodological proposals in the interest of promoting research in various fields of endeavor assets.

Exchange and generate theoretical methodological alternatives to address the areas of cultural heritage as ubiquitous as in Iberoamerica

Create spaces for discussion and proposals of experiences related to cultural heritage material, about the restoration and preservation of archaeological, architectural, artistic and ethnological.

Create spaces for discussion and proposals of experiences related to intangible cultural heritage, about safeguardingand revitalization of its various expressions.

Exchange different theoretical and methodological approaches for addressing the relationship between different types of cultural and natural properties, preservation of historical memory and the construction of imagery on her heritage.

To exchange experiences on public policies for cultural heritage management in countries.
To propose activities and projects for the development of cultural heritage management in the university setting.
